Tokyo Localized is run by locals who want to show travellers what Tokyo is really like; to explore the hidden beauty of this wonderful city from the perspective of those that live and work here.
Dai founded Tokyo Localized to provide just this. Having travelled all around the world he loves to provide a unique experience to travellers having much experience of this himself. He decided to share his love and passion for Tokyo by providing free walking tours to give travellers the chance to experience something different.

Do you offer private tours?
Yes, we do private tours from 15 people. please check our Private Group Walking Tours.
Do you offer tours in Spanish, German or French?
All of our tours are 100% in English.
What should I bring?
Comfortable shoes, sunscreen, hat/cap, water and a lot of questions – we love those! An umbrella or rain coat during the rainy season.
Because Japan is not a tipping culture, is tipping to the guide is rude?
All our local guides working very hard to provide the best experiences to you, and well deserve tips for their work. We appreciate your respect and gratuities to our local guides.
Can I show up without booking?
No. We try to manage group in an ideal size of guests. So please book the tour. Also, in some case, we send you email when we cancel the tour due to the weather condition.
I cannot book the tour. Can I just show up and wait for the cancel?
No. We take bookings including additional slots. But we open the last minutes booking one day before the tour.
Which tour should I join?

When I can book the tour?
Bookings are available up to 2 weeks in advance. Check our schedule for the latest tour information.
Is there a tour running which is not listed on the booking calendar?
No. We ONLY run the tour which is on the booking calendar. Check our Twitter for the latest tour information.
I cannot book the tour on the calendar. Is it full booked?
Yes. If you cannot book the tour, it means tour is full booked.
Do you have wait list for the tour?
Unfortunately, we accept the bookings based on our show up rate. So please book your space when the booking is open.
